An Awesome First Week!

Wow!  We had an awesome first week of school!  We got to know our new friends, had fun using the SMARTboard, made some cute activities to go with our "All About Me" unit, and celebrated birthdays!!

Here is Jacob R. posing with our fun torn paper rainbow names.  We learned all about the order of the colors of the rainbow!

And here is Brayden posing with his fabulous self portrait.  Check out his mohawk hair :)!  We talked about the first letter in our names and then something we like that also starts with that letter.  Brayden's says, "B my name is Brayden and I like beavers."

Happy Birthday Kaylyn and Kaylie!  I hope you both enjoyed your birthday!

2011-2012 Happy Campers!

As you can see, I have an AWESOME group of "Happy Campers!"  We are off to a great start to a new school year!  Yesterday we spent the day learning rules and procedures, doing a few fun projects, and checking out the playground for a very short amount of time because of the heat!  I think it's safe to say it was a wonderful, but exhausting first day!  

  Today, we made super cute torn paper rainbow names and I forgot to take a picture of them!  I'll add that to the to-do list for tomorrow :)  We also celebrated Jacob's birthday!  I hope you had a fabulous birthday, Jacob!

This year our class will become a part of the blogging world!  I will post pictures, videos, and explanations of all the exciting activities going on in our classroom!  I plan to use this blog as an easy way to communicate with parents! I am super excited about our "Happy Camper" blog, and I hope you will be too!
